How is the test scored?
When is it offered and when do i register?

The ACT is a Reasoning Test that is often taken in place of the SAT. Like the SAT, the ACT is a test of a student’s Reasoning and Analytical skills. The popularity of the ACT has increased during the past few years as more and more colleges are accepting the score in lieu of the SAT. Many students prefer the ACT to the SAT because they feel that it more accurately tests their abilities.

HOW IS THE TEST SCORED ?
For each of the four multiple choice sections, the raw score is computed by the number of correct answers. Unlike the SAT, there is no penalty for guessing or incorrect answers. The raw scores are then converted to a scaled score ranging from 1 to 36. The ACT Composite score is created by averaging the 4 Scaled scores. The Writing score is scored by two readers. Each reader gives the essay a score from 1 to 6. The two scores are then added together for the Writing Score. The ACT with also compute a Combined English/Writing score on a scale of 1 to 36.
