Private One-on-one Prep

Our ACT Insight: Private Tutoring option is an ongoing effort between you and your tutor. The one-on-one setting is well suited to students who are very busy and cannot squeeze a structured class or boot camp into their already busy schedules. It is also perfect for students who prefer personalized attention and detailed, tactical guidance tailored for their specific strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the subject matter.

The ACT Test

The ACT is a multiple-choice test that includes a writing component. The ACT includes an English section that tests standard English and rhetorical skills, a Mathematics section that tests high school level math skills, a Reading comprehension section, and a Science section that tests your analytical and problem solving skills in the natural sciences. The Writing section involves a 40-minute written essay that tests your entry-level college writing skills.

So, although colleges consider the ACT equivalent to the SAT, the tests themselves are not identical. So you must prepare for them differently. At Insight, our ACT Insight program will teach you what you need to know to excel on every section of the ACT with confidence.

As college admissions professionals, we understand the importance of your ACT score when thinking broadly about your college admissions journey. ACT Insight will equip you with just what you need so that you canaccomplish your ACT goals. We begin by focusing on the fundamentals—test-taking skills, practicing critical thinking and analysis skills, and learning from mistakes—in a dynamic group setting, as well as a one-on-one settings. Our instructors are well versed in their section of choice and love working with and teaching high school students. Each instructor has an undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant field and past teaching experience.
