Terms and Conditions for Group Class
PAYMENT OF TUITION FOR SAT/ACT CLASSES, BOOT CAMPS, MISCELLANEOUS CLASS SERVICES
FULL payment is REQUIRED upon enrollment in any Insight Education Group Classes. Only Full Payment guarantees a student’s spot in the class(es). This contract is null and void if full payment is not received prior to the first day of the course selected above. Insight Education cannot be held responsible if a class fills prior to receiving full payment. Returned checks are subject to a $20 handling fee. Declined credit cards are subject to a $20 handling fee.
Course material replacement is subject to a $150 fee.
CANCELLATION
If a client cancels their class enrollment seven (7) days or more before the start of the course, a 20% non-refundable fee will be charged. The remaining amount will be returned in the same form in which it was received (either check or credit card). This request must be made in writing to info@insight-education.net. We do not offer a refund for cancellations that take place less than seven (7) days prior to the start of a class, including after a class has started. Seven (7) days * 24 hours = 168 hours before the official start time of day 1 of the course in question.
TRANSFERS
If a client would like to transfer to a different section of the same course it will be treated in the same way as a Cancellation (see above) and re-enrollment.
GENERAL CLASS CONDITION
Insight Education will launch a multi-student class only if a minimum of FOUR (4) students have enrolled in the course. Clients will receive a full refund of class and enrollment fees if a course is canceled due to low enrollment.
GENERAL PAYMENT CONDITION
Insight Education will bill only one individual or family with respect to a student’s account. If parents are divorced or separated it is the responsibility of the family to assign one parent or legal guardian to be held legally accountable for all payments while settling the distribution of said costs separate from Insight Education, LLC, since these are private family matters. The parent or guardian who signs below will be the person held legally accountable for all payments, financial obligations, bill collections fees, attorneys’ fees, legal disputes associated with this contract.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All course materials, information, and techniques are the property of Insight Education, LLC, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold. The student and family agree not to provide any such materials, information, or techniques to a third party for any reason. The student and family also agree not to duplicate and/or resell these materials to anyone. Any student or family found to be in violation of this agreement is subject to immediate removal from Insight membership without refund and with possible legal action.
LATE FEE
If payment is not received by an invoice’s due date a 5% fee (calculated as a % of the principal amount) will be assessed on a monthly basis until payment is received. If Insight Education, LLC, is forced to resort to Professional Bill Collections Services or Attorneys in order to collect, all associated fees will be charged to the legal guardian who signs below. Insight Education will also file reports with credit reporting agencies.
RIGHT TO REMOVE WITHOUT REFUND
Students and their families agree not to solicit Insight counselors, instructors or tutors for independent employment. Insight reserves the right to remove any student, without refund, found to be in violation of this agreement. Insight Education, LLC, also reserves the right to remove any student who is found to be disruptive in our offices or classrooms or found to be in violation of our confidentiality policies. Students found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be dismissed immediately. No refund will be issued in any of the above cases.
MISSED MEETING POLICY
The student and/or parent hold(s) the ultimate responsibility for remembering to attend each scheduled Test Prep class session. Missed SAT/ACT Classes, SAT/ACT Boot Camps or any other Miscellaneous Insight Education Group Class sessions cannot be made up since these are group sessions and are structured to operate in a group setting. Missed class sessions hold NO MONETARY VALUE. MISSED CLASS SESSIONS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE.
GENERAL CLASS STRUCTURE & CONDITIONS
1- Enrollment includes a fixed number of diagnostic tests per the class schedule and type of class. No additional tests are included.
2- THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP CLASSES AVAILABLE/ALLOWED. Students are expected to attend every class.
3- There is a maximum of Twenty (20) students per class session allowed in our SAT, AP, and ACT Classes.
4- Courses do not include any additional diagnostic tests after the conclusion of the final day of class unless otherwise stated below.
5- SAT Advantage classes include six (6) diagnostic tests. Boot Camps (SAT/ACT/AP) include one (1) diagnostic test per class day.
6 – Students who have completed an SAT Advantage class at Insight Education will be eligible to take three (3) diagnostic tests that can be scheduled to be taken after their class section has come to a close. These tests will expire when the student named on this enrollment contract graduates from the High School listed in this enrollment contract, are nontransferable, hold no monetary value, and cannot be refunded if unused.
7- Students are expected to arrive on time in the morning and after breaks. A second late or more will be reported to parents.
8- Disruptive behavior will be reported to parents. Repeated disruptive behavior will result in removal from the class with no refund.
9- Absent and disruptive students will not benefit from the course and refunds will not be offered or permitted.
10- The best way to improve from the class you take is to attend every session and participate actively including completing all homework.
11-Students enrolled in live classes must provide proof of full vaccination and one booster shot (three doses) status before attending a live class. Unvaccinated students must provide a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours or less before the start of the first day of class before attending a live class. Students in a live class that is scheduled to be longer than one week long must provide proof of a negative PCR test once per week for the duration of the class.
ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS
1- Insight Education, LLC, and/or its employees will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries incurred on our sites or during Insight-sponsored programs or classes.
2- Insight Education, LLC, will employ its best resources to provide comprehensive Standardized Test Preparation advice and guidance yet we make NO GUARANTEE regarding GPA / SAT / ACT / AP / PSAT score improvement irrespective of your initial diagnostic test score (this condition applies to all classes and hourly test prep services).
3- Insight Education, LLC, makes no guarantee regarding your college admissions acceptance outcomes.
4- Insight Education, LLC, reserves the right to change prices at any time at our sole discretion.
5- The Insight Counseling program is a separate program and enrollment in one or more of Insight’s class offerings does not in any capacity provide a student or family with any of the benefits of the Insight Counseling Program.
6- Class enrollment fee cannot be credited back to clients if they are enrolling in three (3) or four (4) year counseling programs after purchasing class(es).
Terms and Conditions for Tutoring Service
PAYMENT OF YOUR TUITION FOR HOURLY SERVICES
Full payment for bundles is required before beginning service. The unused portion cannot be refunded. Additional Insight services are billed separately at non-member prices. Failure to complete timely payments of any outstanding balance will result in cessation of service with no refund. Membership fees and hourly rates are subject to change. Returned checks are subject to a $20 handling fee. Declined credit cards are subject to a $20 handling fee. Course material replacement is subject to a $50 fee. Full price hourly charges will take place automatically upon the exhaustion of bundle hours. PDF copies of monthly invoices will be sent to the parent(s) by e-mail upon request only. Overages will be charged automatically at the full rate of $100/hour. Tutoring bundles are non-refundable.
HOURLY (PRIVATE), ONE-ON-ONE TUITION–RATES POLICY
Clients opting for hour-by-hour tutoring (non-bundled pricing) will be charged $100/tutoring hour. These sessions take place privately between one instructor and one student within Insight offices. It is the ultimate responsibility of the student and his/her parents to keep track of the number of meetings they have completed and/or ask their respective Insight tutor/instructor for a log. 30-minute tutoring sessions must be clearly scheduled in advance or the 60-minute rate will be charged. 60-minute scheduled meetings will be charged in full. Meetings that exceed scheduled time will be charged on a prorated basis in excess of the pre-agreed upon the length of the session which is usually one hour.

Scheduled meetings that are missed can only be made up if students have reasonable cause and have notified their Insight counselor or tutor at least 24 hours in advance. Insight counselors or tutors can make exceptions at their discretion in the case of exceptional circumstances. Students who miss more than three (3) meetings will be removed from the program without a refund. While Insight counselors will make efforts to remind forgetful students of meeting dates and times, the student and/or parent holds the ultimate responsibility for remembering to attend each scheduled counseling meeting.
LATE FEE
If payment is not received by the bill’s due date a 5% fee (calculated as a % of the principal amount only) will be assessed on a monthly basis until payment is received. If Insight Education, LLC is forced to resort to Professional Bill Collections Services or Attorneys in order to collect amounts owed to us all associated fees will be charged to ALL legal guardians of the student. We will also file reports with credit reporting agencies.
Insight Choice 2022 Terms and Condition
Additional Notes:
1. “Essay Insight” and “Comprehensive Review” options require that your essay is emailed in Doc or Docx format as a file attachment. We do not accept Google docs or other formats. All services, including the $300 hourly college admissions counseling option, require a $750 non-refundable minimum charge. With the exception of “Hourly Insight” options (College Admissions Elite and College Admissions Express), unused funds in excess of the $750 minimum will be refunded.
2. “Essay Insight” price is on a per individual essay basis. Multiple essay word counts cannot be added together. “Essay Insight” options include two rounds of reviews and edits. Each round has a 72-hour delivery time frame. At the start of each round, you will receive an email from Insight marking the start of the 72-hour. We always strive to get the essays back as fast as possible.
3. Non-comprehensive “Application Insight” includes essays that have been pasted or uploaded into the application only.
4. Second review pricing for “Application Insight” options is for the same application/essay only.
5. Comprehensive College Counseling Meeting (Initial Consultation) Fee Credit DOES NOT apply against Insight Choice options.
6. Time begins once the application or essay, and payment have been received or whichever one is received last.
7. Insight Choice is a limited-time suite of services available only from September 2022 – December 2022 and is not a College Counseling Program and may not be offered in the future. Insight Choice cannot be purchased as a standalone service. We reserved the right to suspend this program at any time.
Terms and Conditions for Testing Services
PAYMENT FOR TESTING SERVICES
FULL payment for exam(s) is REQUIRED before beginning any testing service. Additional Insight services are billed separately at non-member prices. Failure to complete timely payments of any outstanding balance will result in cessation of service with no refund + interest charges. Membership fees and hourly rates are subject to change. Declined credit cards are subject to a $50 handling fee. Course material replacement is subject to a $75 fee. Testing bundles are non-refundable and non-transferable. Insight Education cannot be held responsible if a preferred testing time fills prior to receiving full payment. This condition is non-negotiable.
CANCELLATION
If a client chooses to cancel their testing enrollment seven (7) days or more before the start of their testing bundle, a $250.00 non-refundable fee will be charged. The remaining amount will be returned in the same form in which it was received (either check or credit card). You must cancel your enrollment seven (7) days or more before the first day of testing and this request must be made in writing to info@insight-education.net. We do not offer a refund for cancellations that take place less than seven (7) days prior to the start of a class. Similarly, once the scheduled testing has started there is no refund offered.
MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY
Scheduled tests that are missed without warning will be charged in full unless a member of Insight staff is notified at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled exam. Insight management can make exceptions at their discretion in the case of exceptional circumstances. The student and/or parent hold(s) the ultimate responsibility for remembering to attend each scheduled tutoring meeting and/or testing session.
General Insight Policy & User Terms and Condition

All course materials, website content, information, and techniques are the property of Insight Education, LLC, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold. Students and families agree not to provide any such materials, information, or techniques to a third party for any reason. Students and families also agree not to duplicate and/or resell these materials to anyone. Any student or family found to be in violation of this agreement is subject to immediate removal from the Insight Program they selected without a refund. Any student or family found to be in violation of this agreement after their Insight counseling program has expired will be contacted by our attorney and will face legal action. This includes making use of Insight knowledge, content, and advice to engage with your own clients, nor or in the future, as a paid admissions consultant/counselor.
JURISDICTION & GOVERNING LAW
In the event of a dispute, the matter will be resolved by arbitration in the San Francisco Bay Area, State of California, United States of America. This agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States of America. By signing below, the parent or guardian acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted this agreement in full. Furthermore, parent(s) or guardian(s) accept FULL responsibility for all charges and payment of all enrollment fees, course fees, retainer/deposit and/or additional charges or hourly charges above and beyond the course fee or retainer/deposit amount. The parent signature also authorizes Insight Education, LLC to charge the credit card number included in this contract for the total amount listed on the front of this contract and any and all future charges.
PRIVACY POLICY
Insight education takes your privacy seriously. We collect the minimum amount of your data necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with us. We do not sell your data to third parties. HOLIDAY POLICIES Insight Education will be closed on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30, 2022), Independence Day (Monday, July 4, 2022), Labor Day (Monday, September 5, 2022), Thanksgiving Day Holiday (Thursday – Saturday, November 24 – 27, 2022), and Christmas (Saturday – Monday, December 24-26, 2022). Insight Education will also be operating on a holiday schedule from December 19, 2022 – January 2, 2023. Counselors will remain available for urgent questions and emergencies during the 2022-2023 Christmas Holiday break but we cannot guarantee last-minute unscheduled help. Our time and priority are our comprehensive counseling package clients.

Insight Education, LLC will employ its best resources to provide comprehensive and strategic college admissions counseling yet we make NO GUARANTEE regarding admissions results to any competitive internship, college, or university. Insight Education, LLC also makes NO GUARANTEE regarding SAT/ACT Score improvement irrespective of your initial diagnostic test score (this condition applies to all classes or hourly test prep services). Insight Education, LLC reserves the right to change prices at any time at our sole discretion.
